I wasn't able to forward a message I got from k9eye to the list, because it
is to long.
So to summarize.
mfj 993 tuner.  300 watts PEP, thousands of memories for frequencies
previously operated.  Multiple antennas automatic or optional manual tuning
options.
AAnd the big thing, talking meter readings.  It might be an option worth
investigating.
I think it was listed at $259.  I don't think it has a variable tone but,
if you are looking at a tuner anyway, another option.  Maybe the tide is
turning since the ham population is becomming more like us as it ages.
