True on the wire length.  I agree about the traps.  A very popular antenna
is the zep, which turns out to be a total length of 178 feet.  Fed with
balenced line and tuned.  Now did you mean 230 feet at the center?  Did I
get that right?  Anything will work!!!  If you can put up a full halfwave
on 160, go for it.  Put a counter poize a quarter wave under it, and you
will work the world!!!  That will have gain on 80 as well.
