Hi Rich.

It depends upon whether you are talking about the MC-60 or the MC-60A.  The
MC-60 is not an amplified mic and does not use batteries, but the MC-60A
has a preamplifier which is operated by the aforementioned batteries.  So,
your noodle is still intact!
