I have never heard the Super Radio 2 but I just bought the 3.  Some of the
folks here say that the 3 isn't nearly as good as the 2 but I don't know if
that is just nostalgia.  You can get the 3 for less than $40 from several
places but I have seen it for as much as $70 at C. Crane etc.  I believe
that I am in the poorest location for radio reception in the USA.  San
Bernardino California is at the foot of the mountains and I think we are
completely surrounded.  Not even the Super Radio does very well.
I don't think you will find anyone who will try to repair your 2 for less
than $40 and so that might be your best bet but I must say that I'm
disappointed that at at this time in history radios aren't any better than
they are.  Good luck getting good reception.
