My Radio Shack Weather Alert radio is the one with the seven counties in it.
I have had it for about 4 years, and the volume control is now giving me all
kinds of problems. I also don't think it's nearly as sensitive or selective
as the receiver on my THF6A is. I'm also looking for the new SAME codes
that were just implemented. As EC/RO for my County, I just want to have a
good operating radio of this sort. And, I may be like you--I'm in kind of
an RF hole out here in West-central Lower Michigan. The nearest NOAA
weather transmitter is a good 35 miles away.
