problem with that menu is, if you use the regular menu and mess up counting,
you can fix it, if you do that in the menu you're looking to get in to, 1,
you can mess it up bad enough that you need to send it in to be fixed as a
sighted person I know did, and 2, turning up power in those smaller radios
increases the heat and then that transmitting on high power warning too long
they put in the manual really applies.

has anyone gone into the service menu on the TM V7A to increase the =
deviation levels or adjust the output power settings?
The service manual claims the radio can put out 60 watts and that you =
can change the output defaults for the 3 power levels....something very =
useful since the 10 watt setting is almost useless....i would much =
prefer 5, 25 and 50 for good measurements.
The info on the net indicates one can use a PS2 plug and short pins 3 =
and 6 i think...the question i have is without sited assistance, how =
many menu clicks is it to the deviation and power settings? The regular =
menus in the radio are fairly easy to navigate as long as you make sure =
to count clicks and know which buttons they are refering to with the =
arrows and set buttons...i would think the service menu is similar.
