Rigbht, this user I am talking about is an SMR who is using 220-222 MHz,
and this is just before our 1.25 meter band, which for the most part is
pretty dead here.  This system is using some kind of SSB, and it has a
tone in the background.  I can't remember if it is ESSB, but it may be
something else.  The type of trunked system that is in use and is using
this format is known as an MPT-1327 system in case anyone was wondering,
and this is much different from the other types of systems out there, and
is used in Europe and other places, but there are some systems in the
states here as well that are like this.
