What bands do you use the g5RV on? I know a lot of people that have added
on to the g5RV so they can use it on 160 but they lose some of the use on
10, and 12, I think it was though it's a horrible antenna on those bands
anyway so if I had the room I'd do it since I'd never use it there anyway
unless I had no choice and I just might do it some time. Another thing you
might to is make a folded dipole and hang it under the g5RV, same physical
length but actually double if you use twin lead wire and short the far end
so it's, well, folded lol, sorry I just got up. Those are most likely your
best 2 bets.

Subject: 160m

I'm looking for suggestions for a 160 meter antenna. I have serious space
limitations so can't put up a real one. I've got up a G5RV and have thought
about putting a switch on one end to short it to double its length and give
me a
160m antenna that way but would appreciate suggestions.
