I had that problem back in the summer/fall with real player, on a cable
modem through Comcast, not everywhere, but on a few sites I had the same
thing, was told it was a firewall, while on vacation I used a dial-up
connection, and it worked perfect so I think it's a firewall at the ISP, but
of course I ask Comcast and they lie about it saying there is no such thing,
like when there's a problem, I call to report it, they tell me there's
nothing wrong and no one else has seen that problem in my area but with in 2
hours it's fixed.
