Hi Jeff,

I can assume that you can demodulate the acssb signals in single sideband.
It will probably sound compressed plus you will have to deal with the
frequency locking signal.  In addition you will have to figure out the
trunking scheme.  Dial around with a scanner that uses ssb and determine if
signals are hearable in your area.  That is what I suggest as a starter.
