Hi Howard
I hit reply and sent this to  an individual.  Now here it is for the list.
There is another feature that makes the 2000 be the rig to get.  You can get
a computer program to set the memories offsets PL codes etc.  You also can
set the menus with that software.  It does require a db9 cable.  73
