I wondered about that too.  For me it's six of one half dozen of the other.  If it really were critical enough to blow a fuse I think it would have been plastered
all over the manual.

I usually try to plug into a charger before plugging the charger into the wall, but I'm sure not at all particular about doing it.

Anyway, it's on charge again now and getting warm, so hopefully everything is now reset again.  Clearly, no fuse blew.
