it doesn't matter which setting it's on, tell your friend just use it as is,
it will make no difference at all which you choose.

I don't usually do this but my friend from a tech list needs help with echo

Thanks in advance, va3kky.

Subject: Echo Link Settings For Connection Speed

Hi List,

I must be growing a bit dense in my old age, but I know there are several
people on this list who use the Ham Radio software called Echo Link. I have
a friend who is going to change from dial-up to cable modem. I looked all
over the program and for the life of me, I can't find where you change the
setting from dial-up to LAN/DSL or cable. Can you do this from the program
once it is installed? or do you have to do a total reinstall if you change
connection methods?

Thanks.
