The transmitter for WVBR was on that hill as I remember, that's the one
you're talking about?

I was always intrigued that of all the dirt roads on Snyder Hill, the horsy
set got the paved part on Landon, and it was frequently repaved and always
kept in perfect condition. The observation was an important part of my
native culture socio-economic training as a child. Wouldn't want any dust
on those nice cars or horse trailers. However, the horses were beautiful!

Of course, the Cornell radio station transmitter was up there too, and with
all the military/Cornell connections, maybe that is why that little well
paved road was always plowed first and kept in better shape than Ellis
Hollow Rd.even though hardly anyone lived up there.
