There is a way he can do this with the following hardware.
http://tinyurl.com/hjyha If he wants just music he may choose the Wireless-G
Music Bridge which will wirelessly bring his music collection digital music
to his stereo. For more media content he may want to choose the Wireless-B
Media Adapter. This way he can listen to music via an MP3 player, view
pictures and choose a play list.
I had this set up in my place in California. It worked nicely and allowed me
to show vacation pictures, (Boring) and in general was a nice piece of
hardware that was easy to set up and operate.
