A few possibilities come to mind, and only the most extreme would involve a reinstallation. You should open your computer case to see if your hard drive's data cable or power plug have come loose. Another one is to go into the BIOS and see if the device boot order has changed. Generally it is floppy, hard drive, DVD/CD. If it still is sort of like that, but you have more than one hard drive, highlight the hard drive and hit enter to see which drive it is looking for. If it is looking for something other than your C drive (or whatever drive you have the OS on), you'll get that message.
