I went through this excercise recently and settled on the ASUS A8V
deluxe. The AMD 64 processor support and the price was more important
to me than other factors. ($100.00 rebate). This board was easy to
install and has been very stable. There are new versions available since
then. I had a couple of support questions that were answered quickly and
accurately by ASUS.
I suggest you look at Anand: http://www.anandtech.com/mb/ and Tom's
Hardware guide http://www.tomshardware.com/index.html
