Have all of the tests been explored? There is an egg salad or hard
boiled egg test where they add some radioactive chemical to it to trace
it through the digestive system ... and then there is always the lovely
barium swallows and colonoscopies to check for obstructions ...
I've heard there is not much that can be done in Canada for gastric
emptying ... but my doctor mentioned that there is one procedure that
can be done in the states, he described it to me to be like adding a
pacemaker for the stomach, to cause contractions to push food through.
The only thing (after all of the medications have been tried and failed
for reflux and constipation) is to push as much as four liters of water
through me each day. That is the only thing that has helped in a very
painful and backedup year and a half.

accompanying constipation, bloating, abdominal pain and reflux?
not to mention no weight gain because of the above...
thanks.
