Aaron has a Pathfinder communication device just like mine, and I was quite
disappointed that we didn't see it on the show, he has had one for a couple
of years already. I'm still planning on offering to go up to visit them in
November to see if I can't get him up to speed somehow, but he looked more
involved than what I earlier thought.
Nothing against the show, they did a pretty good job, but my father thought
his dad could have done more to help out with him. Another thing I was
disappointed with is the number of commercials, I figured out they only had
15 minutes of actual show and 45 minutes of commercials. I know that Home
Makeover is quite expensive to produce, but do they really need that many
commercials?
Thanks,
Anthony

I watched part of this - but didn't see that he got an augmentive
communications device - did ABC give him one? I know the main focus
was on his mother and the Little League baseball team, but I did
think they should have thought of enabling him to communicate his
needs - after all, his mother isn't going to be around forever, as
cruel as that sounds.

Friends,
If you're anything like me, you're a fan of ABC's Extreme Makeover,
even if
you're teary when the show is done. I want to point out in August
the show
was in Minot North Dakota (about 4 hours from me) building a house for a
family who has a son with Cerebral Palsy, and the parents are
outstanding
people, the mother has even taken the time to organize a baseball
team for
kids with special needs. The episode will air tonight at 8est, I
don't know
about the west coast, you might check your listings.
Thanks,
Anthony
