Have you had your son screened for central auditory processing disorder
(CAPD)and other disorders? CAPD is tested by audiologists who specialize in
it, other sensory processing disorders are evaluated by either
neuropsychologists or occupational therapists trained to work with children.
What types of things are you trying to help him with?

Subject: questions

Hi, Does anyone have any suggestions as how to help communicate effectively
to our son. It seems as though we are not getting thru to him. For example.
We have to constantly repeat what we say over and over. He doesn't seem to
absorb what we say to him. It seems like he doesn't care. Maybe it's
frustration on his part wanting to be like everyone else but can't? Any
suggestions?
