Bought a Winfast Nvidia Ti4200 card off of ebay. Decided to pick one that showed it was a 2X/4X card. Perhaps this alone made the difference. After so much frustration in the past trying to get this thing working, this card installed easily and caused no hangups whatsoever. I am very excited. If anyone has the HP 8870 Pavilion, I highly recommend Nvidia's Ti4200 (or possibly the 4400). Machine just didn't like anything that was 4X/8X compatible.

Computer seems to run at the same speed, or maybe even slightly faster with this card, loading at least.
