Thanks everyone for your comments. It is sounding more
and more like I just need to save up for another
computer.

I didn't think there was much difference between 766
and 800, but I deal with a work at home
co.-teleservices, and they require minimum 800mhz.

I replaced memory, video card, and installed a second
hard drive myself before, but replacing the processor
or motherboard sounds daunting.
