The last time I entered the BIOS of a Compaq Presario, the
key to press was F10. You've probably already thought of this,
but you should examine the motherboard to try to locate a pair
of jumper pins to enable/disable the on-board video. Some
motherboards automatically disable the on-board video when an
adapter is inserted, but it wouldn't hurt to check to make sure.
