While Todd is correct that there have been no tests of paleo, I don't
remember any tests being done to prove that grains are a necessity for a
healthy life either - but grains are pushed as necessary for a healthy diet
by the medical establishment and the government.

Yet, I hear touted over and over again that one MUST eat whole grains to be
healthy in all kinds of health magazines and from doctors, etc.

To me, it seems that some people's view of a healthy diet is more a religion
than a scientifically or rationally thought out viewpoint. I can make some
people practically go crazy simply by insisting that no one ever needs to
eat grains their entire lives ;)
