Dear Amy,

Your situation sounds difficult, it sounds like your mum is getting
triggered off in all sorts of emotional directions. I have a couple of
suggestions for you.

When you talk to your mum, dont try a conversation about the situation or
the rights and wrongs of anything that is happening. This would be talking
to her head, when actually it seems like it is her heart that needs
reassurance.

Might I suggest that you try to tell her that she is loved. Just simply,
nothing complicated. If not face to face, perhaps in some form of card, or
letter. I have a friend that gets upset sometimes and I often simply put on
a card "you are loved", and if there are any apologies needed then I put
them in the card too.

When you pray, a little practical tip for you, do pray for the Lord to fill
your house, with his peace, and may he give your mum and the whole family
his peace.

your friend in Christ

Keith
