What does a comprehensive health plan for adults with CP look like? If
finding even one doctor who understands CP is difficult, how do you
assemble a team that includes a neurologist, a cardiologist, an internist,
a dentist, a speech therapist, gynecologist, etc. etc.? And what about
mental health? How do you decide if you’re seriously depressed and need a
psycho-therapist, or just stressed out and need a relaxing week at the
beach?
The October conference for adults will feature the director of the CP
clinic in Washington DC who will talk about devising a strategy to meet
your health needs. Another session will be moderated by a doctor who
treats adults with CP and will discuss the questions you should be asking a
doctor about your health. A mental care profession will talk about
depression and how you can alleviate it. And just to be sure you start the
conference on a healthy note, you can get a free massage at the
conference.
But you’ll find sessions on subjects other than health care at the
conference. Find details at
