Listening to the Goon Show, a pre-movie era BBC radio show for Peter
Sellers, one of the gags went something like this... he hired me out to
commit suicide for him. I botched it up and survived so he never paid
me. The cast of the show had all come together, including Sellers,
through their British military experience, implication being that they
were used to their friends dying.
