I've never heard of a TMV71, but the TH-G71 is a duel band HT.  The TM-V7 is
being discontinued in favor of the TM-V708, not sure on anything on that
radio though, I can't find anything on it though the stores have it listed
as available. If the TM-V7 was to go to a good clearance price I might think
about picking one up to see what people like about it though I'd imagine
it's similar to the TM-G707A with a few more features and that's what I have
now and like.
