Hi, I just was going to post that I have programmed the radio by hand
successfuly just a few minutes ago. You don't need wide band to monitor and
trunktrack a system, but the Pro-96 or a Uniden scanner should do just fine,
and when I finished programming the 96 a little while ago I found that
programming it on the unit is really easy. You probably want to monitor
other systems around your area like Phoenix and the county right and those
systems are digital APCO-25 so you would probably do good to have a Pro-96.
