Happy New Year, Everyone!
I just received a package of 25 sets of 30 amp anderson power pole
connectors and they are neat. I guess you can either crimp or solder them.
It took me a little while to figure out how they work, but I think I've got
them figured out now. Now I've got to look for some 12 gage zip cord.

actually, they can be either way, you can do single, or you can snap 2 of
them together and make them a 2 wire configuration, in the 2 wire
configuration you can't hook them up backward, I already tried that lol,
they wouldn't work if you did force it too much and make it work because the
contacts are only on 1 side. They can be bought almost anywhere, I got mine
from west mountain radio in CT because they make the rig runner which is a
strip you hook to your power supply and hook radio gear or anything up to it
and each outlet on that unit is fused and all, a little pricy but a very
good investment if you're planning to stay in the hobby for a while because
from looking at it I'd say it will long outlive any of my equipment, it also
has high and low voltage warning beeps and all, but you don't need to go
that fancy. you can get the connectors probably at any ham radio store or
www.andersonpower.com I think the site is. They're really a good way to go I
should have done that 10 years ago. They really look professional when you
get them all together and all. I now have my scanner, TNC, radios, all
running off them off my power supply. They're cheap too, I think a package
of 12 costs $7 or so depending on where you go, there are probably better
prices then that out there.
