Best to shop around, AES, Universal Radio (rffun.com), Grove Ent and
several other dealers have been selling the R75 with DSP for $500 (after $50
mail in rebate). Grove has a used (or had) a R75 for less than $400, but no
DSP.

The voice chip used by the R75 is the same as that used by the IC-718 and it
is very easy to install and works great. The DSP is not as easy to install,
but it a nice feature.

Subject: Icom r75 receiver

Does anybody know if the Icom r75 receiver has an optional speech board for
it like earlier models used to have? I just noticed C Crane was selling
their model for 649 dollars right now but I cannot find a speech board
listed.

Phil.
