Hi Eliot.  I must have missed this email... I"m a philosophy prof, but
over the years I've read a lot about metabolism and nutrition.  I guess
the main thing I've learned is the importance of going back to primary
sources.  I guess my training in philosophy makes me acutely aware of
the importance of linking claims to appropriate evidence, and in the
medical/nutritional field such links are often very tenuous.  So I keep
reading...and the more I read the more I realize I don't know.
