Hello all,
I did call Delta and arranged for a GF meal from Atlanta to San Jose. I was surprised at how simple it was - the fellow was very matter-of-fact about it all. Nice not having to do all the usual explaining. They said they didn't offer a meal on the SanDiego-Atlanta leg, that you had to buy food(?). I'll plan on bringing a little something as a backup...the first leg is only a few hours and I dont' have to eat then, but a V8, apple, and cheese will make a fine lunch if there happens to be nothing else.
  Thanks for the suggestions!
