I would appreciate some suggestions on putting up a G5RV antenna. I have a
new g5rv antenna that I have had for years but never used and it is very
perfessionally made. I can put it up about 40 feet on a roan tower in an
inverted V configuration with the apex facing south. Do I need to use a 1 to
1 balun to go from 450 olm ladderline to RG213 coax? I have 58 feet of RG213
coax with the PL259's already soldered on that I want to use. I would have
to use a barrall connector if I have to extend the 58 feet of coax. Is a 1to
1 balun what I need to go from ladderline to RG213 or do I need something
else. I don't care to get into a lot of detail here, I just want to put up
an antenna that works fairly well from 10 to 40 meters.I tried a g5rv once
before without much success and I believe it was because of not enough coax
and maybe the wrong balun. I will appreciate any suggestions.

Best Wishes,
