Hi Kathleen,
While it is highly unlikely you have 64bit Windows, you can tell by bringing
up "My Computer", then selecting "Help -> About". It will indicate
"Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition". Also the login screen (if
you have login screens) will also indicate "x64 Edition".
Note that Windows Vista, which is the next generation Windows (due out later
this year if I recall), should be available in 32 and 64 bit versions.
