Yes Carla,
What you say is true.  I think that we would all be amazed at how many
hymns are already lost.  Most of the old hymns that we love are really
pretty young compared to the church itself.  Most of what we think of as
old was written in the late 1800s and early 20th century, but there was a
lot of music before that as well.  It will be fun when we get to heaven to
have the time to actually sing through them all.
