Ordinarily I'm not happy to find my memory not working right (especially in regard to something as important as the date of the Tappan Zee Bridge, even though I didn't even live here when it was built) but in this case, I'm somehow grateful for the correction, which means I MIGHT be right about the Verrazzano being the last gasp (maybe even the death rattle?) of rivets.
