I don't know how old it is, but I know some of the older ones, if you look
at the reviews, did something similar to that, try cleaning the contacts
where the head makes electrical contact with the radio with some contact
cleaner of some sort, maybe rubbing alcohol though you'd have to be careful
with that it would work, some of that stuff radio shack sells to spray in
noisy knobs and stuff, that would be my first bet, also, the pins are
probably spring loaded where they make contact, either on the head or on the
radio itself, the pins on the TMG-707A are spring loaded a little, I know
different radio but the separation kit is the same so that part of the radio
probably is too,try moving them by hand, they might be dirty and sticking a
little and the movement of just the vibration of the vehicle, not really
even the bumps though that would be more extreme, but maybe 1 of those is
just sticking enough that it's not making contact all the time. That's my
guess.
