that's probably just for maximized performance, the band that runs on is
very tight, I know my wireless LAN is close in frequency and I was getting
horrible range on that wireless network in this house until I put the
wireless setup on the top shelf of my radio desk, about 6 feet in the air
and in front of a window so I'd say it does make some sort of difference
though they also say to put them in a south facing window and I don't have
any if you believe that, just the front door and I'm not running wires over
there, I'll make it work though, my north window isn't that bad I don't
think.
