Hi Tom,
I have been using Roxio EZ CD Creator for some time now and it seems to
work relatively well.
Although, there are probably some others on the list that know of better
or more user-friendly apps to do the same task.
I believe the roxio web site is www.roxio.com, although you may want to
verify this yourself.
A google search for Roxio should yield good results.
Hope this helps.

Subject: saving files onto a CD

Hi, folks.

I fully realize that the following question might be "off topic" for
this list, so if someone wants to respond to me off list, rather than
cluttering the list up with discussion of the topic, that'll be fine.

I need to find a way to easily save files onto a CD. I have been using
"zip disks" as back-ups for the various professional and personal files
that I create, but would like to start backing things up on CD's. Many
of the files can be put permanently on recordable disks, although I
would like the option of using rewritable disks for files that will need
periodic updating.

>From what I can gather, it seems much more difficult to save files to a

>CD
than to zip disks, my hard drive, or even a floppy disk. More commands
and steps seem to be involved, and I haven't been able to get a
consistent handle on them.

Someone suggested to me that the CD maker program on my new HP 520N
computer with Windows XP might not be the best way to go.

Is there another CD creator program that is easier to use? If so, could
someone refer me to it, or send me a copy?

I know that for some of you guys, these questions really seem
elementary, but this is a new area of computing that I simply haven't
looked into very much until now.

Thanks for taking my question here.
