Depending on the  sound  card your  pc uses, you may have  a 20 db mic boost
available.  I have  2 computers and 3 sound cards between them and only 1
offers this feature.  Look  where you set the mic level on your  pc.  Look
for a button that says something  like advanced settings.   If you have that
button, click it and  check the box  that  mentions 20 db  boost.  Again,
you may not have this feature, but worth looking for.
