My microbiology instructor in nursing school was a retired professor at the
local college.  Her knowledge certainly made her quite eccentric, at least
in the eyes of the young girls in school.  I felt sorry for her and made
allowances for her quirks.  I was older than the other girls and had dealt
with older people for most of my life.  Ruth
