Hello everyone,

My wife works from home and as strange as it may seem if she gets a
modem connection faster than a stated 28-32 her system will crash and
disconnect. She has to continually try to connect and disconnect to get
anything lower than 42-46.
My questions is, is there an initialization string that I can enter in
modem properties to force a slower connect speed. Haven't dealt with modems
for at least several years.

OS is WinXP Pro
Modem is US Robotics 56K external

TIA
Rob Shane
