I dont think so, because I've installed my main chipset drivers, and
still nada.

Is this a Nforce4 motherboard? If so, I think that the ethernet
controller
in integrated into the main chipset; so, installing the chipset
drivers
should also give you working ethernet port. Some Nforce4 boards come
with
two ethernet ports, in which case there will be a seperate driver for
this
second port.
This information is off the top of my head; so, let us know if it
isn't
useful or accurate.
