Agreed. I basically just do what my body tells me to do. That has
gotten a lot easier after about 7 months on a mostly paleo diet. If I
am hungry, I eat. If I am thirsty, I drink. I don't look at the clock
to determine if I am eating or drinking too soon after my last intake.
There are some days when I crave large amounts of fruit. Other days
when vegetables or meat are all I want. And still other days when I
have a little of this and a little of that. I don't have a schedule or
menu plan that I stick with. Some days I eat all day. Others I have an
apple and a handful of nuts.
Yes, Dan, that is exactly what I do now!! I only did the two-hour thing per doctor's orders for a few weeks until things leveled out. Now I either graze all day or eat one meal, depending on how I feel. Grazing seems to keep my problem with low blood sugar a little more under control, but the one-meal days don't seem to give me any problems. I don't monitor anything, I just basically go by how I feel. If I'm shaky or grouchy or hungry, I eat!! (Grouchy as in a symptom of low blood sugar, not a mood, lol.)
And thank you, everyone, for the replies on iodide!!
Love,
Bren
