I tried it the other day and got a chappy in India.  Ian Able G3ZHI advises that the node is back up
after moving the RF side to 144.1.  Connectivity is a bit dodgy because of the way they are getting
to and from the internet but it does work now.

On a Traffic and Information Net earlier today, it was reported that there
is a Baghdad EchoLink node, 209608.  Maybe someone named "Mikie" would like
to try it.  I'm not going to try it.
