I would e-mail WD Tech Support about this problem and see if they have any
ideas. It could be that your BIOS and/or ME will not handle the larger drive
even with the WD software. The problem should not affect the A drive, but
weird things do sometimes happen when a computer is experiencing a
compatibility issue.

You might check to see how the BIOS shows the drive (160GB or 127GB). Could
be that the BIOS needs to be taken off of automatic identification for the
new hard drive and manual configuration is required.

Yes I meant GB not MB I went with the 160 because it was only $39.00 after
rebate. ME doesn't support such a large drive but Westren Digital has
software that allows the drive to work. Without the software only 80 GB
would work. I don't see the connection between the hard drive and the A
drive and why it should cause the problem.
