Wireless phones using 2.4 GHz(?) and microwaves will interfere with wireless
Router signals. Consider any recent changes in location and/or use of those
devices.
However, even with "very low" signal you should be able to fully use the LAN
although with slower throughput. Try telling the network connection on the
upstairs computer to "repair". Sometimes the connection just needs to be
refreshed.

Subject: [PCBUILD] wireless router problem
I m usung a wireless router. My main computer in the basement has direct
connection with the cable. Then my second computer in my room upstairs has
wireless adaptor.
Distance between the two computers is about 100 feet
For the last 2 months I have been receiving v. good signals, but in the
last week problem of low signal and good signal has started. I can't open
web pages and cant send email messages out when signal strength is low or
good,
Can somebody please point out what the problem is.
PS my first compuer is receiving v good messages, no problem there
