I have not posted in a long time so I hope I am not stepping on any rules!

I want to install a mini pci wireless card (Intel 2200 mini pci) into a
Toshiba 2435-s255 notebook. The slot and antenna are available in the
memory compartment. The original optional card which I do not have is based
on the Agere pinouts. Using the Intel drivers the 2200 card is recognized
in XP however there is no signal acquisition (red X). Literature online
indicates that pin 13 of the slot is manufacturer proprietary and controls
the on off radio function. I could not get this card to work. Does anyone
have a fix or suggestion so that I can install a reasonably priced current
mini pci wireless card in this notebook? I could not find much information
regarding the so called fix or pin 13 disable which is supposed to make
most cards compatible. Any input would be helpful in this issue.

Thank you,
Michael Rubin
