And if Greg were to put Chris in his place? Ending the mystery of what he
can get away with.  Then explain the reason why it came to that, and also
explain that love is much more than hand  holding, and there are reasons
beyond just keeping order in your house now but that of Chris's when he is
a husband and father? We are not raising kids, but adults. What does the
word say regarding situations which you are experiencing? I do not ask that
for you to answer here, but rather ask yourself and Greg and seek to apply
whatever God's word says is truth, absolute and suitable for reproof,
discipline, training, instruction and etc.  Whatever the case I pray for
the situation.  I do not know Chris obviously as you do, his mother, but
from this end, it appears as though Chris is very capable of holding things
inside, and also not past keeping the new house as a target for a thrashing
of your dreams at the benefit of his own mistaken agenda. Please do not
take my comments as cold, judgemental or the like, of course you guys live
the situation daily, which  is wrought with details that shape it and
subsequent corrective action, yet also can serve as a blinder. Sometimes an
outside perspective can help, even if it isn't what you might agree with.
It is all meant in love.
